We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land upon which we gather, and pay our deepest respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. We honour their enduring connection to Country, culture, community, and storytelling, and recognise their continuing care of the land, waters, and skies.
The Colour Victoria is founded upon the belief that art and food possess a unique ability to bring people together. At its heart is a commitment to creating meaningful connection, celebrating creativity, and respectfully highlighting the work of artists, makers, and collaborators from diverse disciplines.
Through gastronomy, ceramics, painting, photography, and cultural collaboration, the intention is to build bridges between people, place, and story — fostering dialogue, understanding, and shared experience. Every collaboration is approached with deep respect, gratitude, and a genuine desire to support, uplift, and give back through creativity.
We extend our sincere gratitude to APY Gallery South Australia for their generosity, guidance, and collaboration. We are honoured to acknowledge the contributions of artists Paul Andy (Kalaya Tjukurpa), Alfred Lowe, an Arrernte artist from the Central Desert north of Alice Springs, and Zaachariaha Fielding, whose family resides in Mimili Community on the powerful desert Country of the eastern APY Lands. Their artistic practices, stories, and connection to Country continue to inspire and enrich this work.
We are equally grateful to photographers Jonathan van der Kamp and Nick Walters, whose generosity and artistry have helped document and share this evolving creative journey. Rights, remain with their respective owners and collaborators.
The Colour Victoria exists as a living artistic practice that seeks to honour Country, celebrate artistic exchange, and bring together artists, makers, and communities through a shared love of art, food, culture, and human connection. Through every collaboration, our intention remains the same: to create meaningful experiences that foster respect, understanding, and connection while celebrating the extraordinary creativity of those who contribute to this work.
